Embracia Kyneton Kindergarten

About Embracia Kyneton’s Kindergarten Program

The Kyneton kindergarten at Embracia has been developed by Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten Teachers. Kindergarten is where we ready your child for the next big steps in their development.

Our kindergarteners learn structured routines in their day, as well as learning social and emotional skills that will help them on their education journey. Our unique curriculum programs such as our Togetherness with the elderly program, Aboriginal heritage, nature and community programs are further developed through the kindergarten curriculum. We also have a school readiness program which helps in building the confidence in children so they can speak to new teachers, make new friends, engage socially, build their vocabularly and be independent.

Our Kyneton Kindergarten offers both 3-year-old and 4-year-old kindergarten programs.

Pre-Prep is an expanded early learning program for four-year-old children in Victoria that builds on traditional four-year-old kindergarten. From 2025 onwards, Four-Year-Old Kindergarten is being gradually transformed into Pre-Prep to give children more time to learn, play and grow before starting school. It focuses on play-based learning led by qualified early childhood educators and supports key developmental skills in the year before school.

What is Pre-Prep?

Pre-Prep provides:

  • Up to 30 hours per week of funded kindergarten
  • Delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher
  • For children in the year before they start school
  • Gradually rolling out across Victoria, with priority areas first

The program is being introduced by the Victorian Government as part of its Best Start, Best Life reforms.
